City advises of critical Durbanville electricity work

The City advises consumers in the Vergesig, Nerina, Aurora and Vierlanden areas of Durbanville of an electricity supply interruption for essential Eskom Distribution infrastructure maintenance, which will be carried out on Thursday, 25 September 2025 from 07:30 to 18:30, impacting City-supply. The City apologises for any inconvenience.

It is important to note that interruptions to supply will only impact the areas on the map and only on the relevant date.

Please note:
The electricity supply could be restored at any time and customers must please treat all electrical installations as live for the full duration of the planned maintenance work. Residents are encouraged to switch off appliances as a precaution to avoid damage caused by power surges when the power comes back on. The City apologises for any inconvenience caused and thanks residents for their cooperation and understanding.
